2009 Husqvarna TE450

2009 Husqvarna TE450
TE 450 - HUSQVARNA. The new TE 450 is an exact replica of the machine on which Antoine Meo won the latest round of the World Indoor Championships at the start of the 2008 season and that he has been using to compete in the Enduro World Championship Series.
Fitted with a lighter, more manageable frame, the 450 has had the same technical modifications as all the 2009 TE models: wave type brake discs, new swing arm calibration, new Sachs shock absorber and a new look with colour coded graphics and now a more compact, lighter headlamp unit.
The engine has a new oil pressure relief valve in the lubrication circuit, new lubrication roller bearings and a new oil filter. The exhaust valves are made of steel to ensure longer life and reliability. The gearbox has been updated to offer improved gear change speed and accuracy.

Gearbox design has seen changes in terms of: gear change linkage, lever and selector mechanisms. The 450 engine has also benefited from a new timing gear chain tensioner that was introduced to improve chain tension and reduce contact pressure. Thanks to this new design, component durability has been extended.

With the whole TE range gaining an all new chassis and fuel injection for 2008, the TE450 didn’t need much changing however that hasn’t stopped Husqvarna R&D working hard to optimise the package. For 2009 the frame has been revised to save approx 1kg and to improve rider feedback, there is a new ‘race ready’ exhaust system and a number of internal engine changes aimed at improving the feel of the gear shift and general engine durability. Black Excel rims, wavy discs, revised suspension settings, new graphics, new digital dash and a new headlight shield complete the package.

FOUR-STROKE ENDURO MODELS
The new four-stroke 250, 310, 450 and 510 Enduro models have seen significant modifications.
Husqvarna engineers concentrated on the frame to make the twin cam four-stroke even lighter and easier to handle.

To achieve this, the frame is of a completely new design with new levels of rigidity and settings for dealing with power that optimise handling and give the rider a much better feel for the bike. The frames on all the 2009 four-stroke Enduro models have been lightened by 1 kilo compared to 2008.
On the safety front, new exclusively designed Wave type brake discs improve performance under even extreme conditions. New 2009 graphics adorn the white racing number panels on the sides and the new headlamp unit that houses the smaller, lighter digital display is also white.

Still on the subject of looks, the wheels are black anodised Excel rims and the new plastic engine protectors on both sides are also black. The newly designed side stand is made of aluminium.
These modifications apply to all the Enduros but each model has had various changes made to the engine.
